Last night (8/23/15) was a rewarding short hike up Romero Canyon. I snapped these photos before the relatively unexpected violent lightning chased us out post haste. In the hustle, I came within a foot of a rattle snake hidden from view under a prickly pear cactus in the dusk next to the trail. Too close for comfort. Anyway, here are the photos.
